Designing the interface between people and generative AI.
An AI system that generates short videos and films directly from books and film scripts.

01 — The workflow
Seven steps between a script and a film.
- Upload
- Style
- Generate
- Review
- Refine
- Connect
- Create
Every one of those steps is a place where a person can lose confidence in the system. The product work is deciding what the interface owes the user at each of them.
02 — The core UX problem
AI can generate possibilities faster than humans can evaluate them.
What the system does
- Variability
- Processing time
- Imperfect outputs
What the human needs
- Control
- Legible state
- Iteration
Generation is cheap. Judgement is not. If the product produces more options than a person can meaningfully assess, it has moved the work rather than removed it.
03 — Style selection
Freedom is useful. Too much freedom is work.
Open-ended creative input asks the user to describe something they can usually only recognise. Turning style into a structured, scannable selection lets people choose quickly, and gives the system a far more predictable starting point.

04 — Generation
Make the uncertainty part of the UX.
Hiding a long, unreliable process behind one spinner turns a normal wait into a suspected failure. Generation is exposed as a sequence of honest states instead.

04b — Shipped screens
The product, as people actually use it.
Seven surfaces from the live build — entry, studio pipeline, quick generation, the project library, creative memory, community and the developer API. Pick a thumbnail to step through them.

01 — Home
Home
One prompt to a complete short video series — the entry point carries the promise.
05 — Edit / refine
The AI does the generating. The human still needs to steer.
- 01AI output
- 02Human feedback
- 03Adjustment
- 04New output
Sometimes the best product decision is not to build the thing.
06 — Connect / extend
Making separate scenes feel like one story.
Scenes are generated individually, which means each one can be strong on its own and still break the film. Connecting them into a continuous sequence while preserving visual and narrative continuity is the hardest UX problem in this product — so it is treated as an explicit, human-controlled step rather than a silent post-process.
Great. Now which one?
